Experience in Python, QGIS, POSTGRES, GDAL, JOSM and more.

I work extensively to both curate and create geospatial data. My technical experience and attention to detail have enabled me to produce high quality maps and map data. I also incorporate python and bash scripts into my workflow to automate my analyses and geoprocessing tasks.

I have worked with many geospatial data formats including GeoJSON, CSV, WKB, LAS, DTM, Shapefile and more.

In addition to experience with these data formats, I incorporate sound cartographic principles to effectively showcase the work I have created. My experience in producing maps for display is based on the graphic design principles I have been honing for over a decade.

Curation

I work professionally to curate a variety of map data for mapping applications. I perform research in order to find data from both official government sources as well as proprietary vendors.

Processing

I perform geoprocessing tasks on existing data to ensure that the geographic data is valid, accurate, and up to spec.

Analysis

I perform analysis on geographic datasets to ensure that there are no regressions in the incoming data. I also provide visualizations of data changes for review.

My selection of Maps

Maps for Print

I create high quality map products using a combination of GIS and vector imagery software.

Web Mapping

I host datasets online. I work to provide smooth experiences with my interactive maps. My web maps are currently being moved as I find new hosting.

Data Creation

I participate in the OpenStreetMap community to help digitize map data in my free time.

Raster Imagery

In addition to the common vector formats, I have also worked with raster data. One example being digital elevation model raster imagery.
